I wasn't expecting to like this one but I loved it. Thanks to the #btww girls that picked this book for our monthly read, I found a new favourite book. This book has strong main characters, slow-burn romance and interesting magic system. Alessa is strong, determined and stubborn. Dante is brave, strong, sweet and also very handsome. I loved him. I really liked the story and the Italian setting, as well as the magic system. My favourite was the banter between our main characters. I loved every part of it. Alessa and Dante are a joy to read. There are also some twists and turns that I wasn't expecting and the ending was really good and intense. I cannot wait for book two.
