Belly - Someone To Die For
Belly
It’s been 2 years since I saw Tanya Donelly perform as a guest with the Throwing Muses so I was glad to catch Belly’s tour. Back in the day, I was actually into Belly before I had even known about the Throwing Muses but I had never seen them live until now. One of those long overdue concerts.
Before the band took the stage, a video was played of Gail Greenwood’s dogs, Maurice (Mo) and Bear Bear. I know this because I follow her dogs on social media. They’re rescues and she’s trained them to the delight of many. With that, I will just say that it was a really great show overall. I wouldn’t call it a main show and encore like most shows. More like a play with intermission. I’m continually impressed by Tanya Donelly and Kristin Hersh. It’s almost enough to make you move to New England! (in a time travel scenario)
Looking through the photos I took at the show, I never noticed this before but Tanya is looking like Kim Novak now when viewed from her side profile.
