Noticed something while watching the grand prix this weekend.
Not that I've actually looked this up before, but I'd always assumed that there were rules governing where the side camera — the one next to the airbox intake — gets mounted on a Formula One car, at least in regards to which side of the car. I thought the rule of thumb was that it should be on the inside of the circuit. So the right side for a clockwise circuit, left for anti‑clockwise.
Anyway, this weekend, some teams have them on one side for both drivers, some have them on the other, and some split it between their cars.
So…I don't know what to think anymore. Maybe it's just a personal preference.
East German citizens are applauded by West Berliners as they crossed Checkpoint Charlie with their cars to visit West Berlin on November 10th, 1989. Thousands of East Germans moved into West Berlin after the opening of the wall by East German government.
