Father Thomas Levesque aka "The Bayou Butcher" (1899-1926)
Sin: Pride.
Born in the summer of 1899 to a Half Irish half Choctaw father and a black Creole mother.
His parents were never officially married despite both being devout catholics, so he and his siblings took their mother’s last name for convenience.
He and his four siblings were raised in a small but close knit neighbourhood in New Orleans.
The Spanish flu ravished the area in 1918, taking the lives of his father and his youngest brother. This left Thomas to become the man of the house at the ripe old age of 19 (though he was already working to help support his family long before that).
Had a religious calling after having had a very strange dream at age 11 and joined the priesthood as an adult.
Speaks fluent French Creole, French, Spanish and some Latin. He also knows a few words and phrases in the Choctaw language.
Is somewhat self conscious about his thick accent.
Even after puberty hit him like a truck, he never truly lusted after anyone, no matter how attractive or charismatic they were. He would only develop attraction toward someone after having bonded with them on a personal level, which would take anywhere from a few months to a few years.
Is perfectly aware of the effect his good looks have on others and uses them to his advantage both in his killings and everyday life.
Thomas is a strong believer in Southern hospitality and politeness.
Would often listen to confessions; most were mundane, like an affair, though others would be more heinous. He got more and more jaded and disillusioned with humanity as he listened more and more over time and finally snapped when he heard the confession of a man who lusted after his own child. He committed his first murder that day.
He would only target those whose deaths he felt would benefit society as a whole e.g child molesters, murderers, rapists etc.
He ended up killing a total of 18 people between 1924 and 1926 until one of the relatives of his victims caught onto his identity and did him in.
