Book review: The Golden Vial by Thomas Locke (Legends of the Realm #3)
For starters the book’s description is very misleading, neither Lady Shona or Hyam get much page time or character development. The Golden Vial focuses completely on new character Dally, who is a little too good to be true with her combination of powers and yet not interesting enough to make me want to know more of her story.
I know fantasy is not Christian fiction, but when written by a Christian author I would expect a Christian undercurrent to the themes. This series flat-lined after Emissary.
If this is the last book in the Legends of the Realm then the adventure would have been better if simply concluded in Emissary.
