modernize a little girls room

inspired by some amazing room transformations i have seen lately i thought i would try to find some "grown up" items that might work in a kids rooms. i think that kids rooms with a touch of modern, adult design could go a long way. for example check out these gorgeous lights by thomas paul. i can totally see these in a little girls room.

i think this floor lamp could work incredibly well in a modern nursery. matched with other grey and yellow design it could certainly modernize and brighten the room.

a few other ideas from the thomas paul collection are his rugs. they add a color pop to a room and would certainly fit in a kids room.

totes to dote over

thomas paul has done it again. he has taken his incredible designs (remember the pillows that i sooo adored) and turned them into totes. i am loving this tree tote! how fun is this crab tote. it would make an amazing out of town guest bag for a wedding at the beach. cute little puffer fish pouch. the prices are pretty reasonable. ranging from $20 to $36. You can buy them at a number of stores online. here is a link to design public which has them. and finally...one that makes me think of my mom. we used to have a russian matroyoska doll/figurine at home that i loved playing with! pillows by thomas paul

somedays i think i should have named this blog the "pillow blog". i came across these amazing thomas paul pillows and had to write about them. they have a vintage feel but still look modern and not like your grandmothers pillows.

my bird obsession continues. these are the goldfinch line in luxe silk.

these are swallows and are also luxe silk. i really like this design.

these pillow are linen and i am loving them. they are called seed.

more birds - these are reversible linen and called flourish.

these are the pillows that i think take a vintage feel and throws in some modern.
