Hey, Mom, I find it interesting that you refer to the Weekly World News as "the paper." The paper contains facts. So I Married an Ax Murderer (1993)
Thomas Schlamme’s “So I Married An Axe Murderer” July 30, 1993.
“Once I read the script quite a few times, I thought about it, and I just thought, you know, I shot a scene last year where they performed a 69 on each other, and I didn’t find it as near as intimate as what I thought this scene really was about. So, I was like, ‘Oh, great, this is The Americans’ version, this episode, of their sex scene.’” — Thomas Schlamme
Martin Sheen, John Spencer, Allison Janney and Dulé Hill were filmed on a tarmac at Dulles Airport. However, the plane they emerge from wasn't Air Force One but Virgin Atlantic complete with a painting on its side that was digitally removed in the editing room and replaced by a presidential seal. So, if they couldn't get Air Force One, why drag the cast from California to Washington? 'The actors' teeth wouldn't chatter as convincingly,' Thomas Schlamme told Entertainment Weekly.
