Racial Discrimination: It was a man that decided that skin color made people superior than the other. Since then it has been perceived that skin color does in fact make one superior than the other although that is not true at all, and is not the reality. However, people had made it into reality.

Oil Shortage: in 1973, the word spread that there will be an oil shortage, making people rack up on toilet tissue. This made the demand for the tissue higher than the production supply. this indeed caused a real shortage of tissue after the oil shortage proved to be false.

Thomas Theorem refers to when you believe that something is real or true it becomes real in its consequence, an example of these would be when one may believe that all African Americans are ruthless people with no good moral judgement. For those who would believe such a thing would may only have negative encounters with African Americans who will act that certain way.

Two Example of the Thomas Theorem

1.) When a white person calls the police on a person of color minding their business, and the police may end up harassing that person or even shooting them. The assumption about a person because of their race in today’s society could potentially cost them their lives.

2.)  White Supremacy is the idea that white people are superior to all other races. Throughout HIstory, this ideology has been used to justify the enslavement of and discrimination against other races.
