The Time Goes On / Thomas and Jinwoo
The Time Goes On by BewhY
Tic Toc.. Tic Toc..
Some time had passed since Jinwoo had last seen this particular presence in his life. He wouldn’t say Thomas and him had had a ‘relationship,’ more like acquaintanceship. Their first and second meeting, honestly, had been nothing but negative. Once Namjoon stepped it, the event accidentally created the most ill-fated trio. That fight still left a bad memory and a bitter taste in his mouth. Yet Jinwoo had been in a particular mood as of late, taking these bad thoughts and putting them to song therapeutically.
I use my imperfection as the creator's symphony Using me to write amazing history Perhaps all of this is not my story, but his story
It had been a long time since his fingers danced so expertly across the keyboard keys. Each chord was pressed with a certainty and speed about them as he subjected them to memory. It was turning out quite beautiful but the musical masterpiece wasn’t complete, and he was becoming restless.
The time goes on and on and on.
His thoughts were running quick, now with a hitting bass drum and matching the 140 bpm of the song itself. He needed lyrics. He needed a reference. He needed.. the source material.
The next time he met Thomas should have been led with a well-meant comment, perhaps an apology. This was a bad idea. He could forget this song and turn around- no need to start drama. But no, Jinwoo was a special case. Besides, he was starting to get used to the taste of maple syrup. “Quick, Thomas. Say something- anything!”

Punishment. \\ Woo,Nam&Thom
( ft. Key for the kick-off).
“You have all misbehaved terribly.” Key said as he stood in front of the three boys. Thomas had survived as Kibum had known he would. Namjoon had regained his sight and Jinwoo, well, he didn’t but he seemed okay enough.
They all needed to get over their differences and sure Kibum had listened to all of them and what they had wanted to tell but in the end he had ruled they were all toddlers in the bodies of semi-grown men. “I am usually not someone to punish people because I believe we are not in kindergarten.” he glared at Namjoon specifically for a moment. “but it seems you need to learn how to play nice together. You have terrified poor mister Aetos and about a dozen of villagers. Do you know what could have happened? Mister Thomas, you need to learn how to control your magic and your temper. Mister Jinwoo, you need to understand that others do not understand your powers or your thought processes. You can not expect others to automatically understand you or others to solve your problems for you.” He eyed Namjoon “I am very disappointed in you Namjoon, you are supposed to have had training to stop you from overreacting. You nearly killed someone and were nearly killed. To be honest, the moment you leave academy grounds, I can not stop mister Thomas’ husband to maul you.”
He sighed “You will all have to learn how to work together whether you like it or not.” he handed Namjoon a map, Jinwoo a dagger and Thomas a lighter. “Enjoy.”
He tapped his staff and the three young men were in another world, a barren world with a red sky and a vulcano in the distance.
On the map was a letter.
“You all will have to bring the dagger to the village to the South to a man called Drag’ar, a one-eyed wood elf. There are many dangers in these lands. You can only return when you have completed your task. A portal will be opened when you do.
You can only return as a complete group of three.”

“I didn’t just imagine it! It was there, I swear!”
Green eyes quickly glanced into the darkness extending past them in the catacombs but she could see no glimpse of what had spooked her witchy friend. Turning back to Thomas she grabbed his hand tugging him closer to the light of the lantern as she used her magic to cast a wider range of light around them. She could tell by the look in his eyes he really think he saw something and who was she to judge to the boy or not believe him? Putting a finger to his lips to quiet him she quickly whipped out of her phone.
‘Thomas, what was it? What did you see?’ The trek for spell ingredients had seemed an easy one until the other had begun to get agitated the further they went into the catacombs and now she was beginning to worry.
‘Whatever it is, it won’t hurt you.’ Comforting words though she didn’t know just how true they were in this situation.

#1972 - Thomasia sp.
A genus of small shrubs from the Mallow family, endemic to the SW of Australia, with the exception of the Paper Flower Thomasia petalocalyx which is also found in parts of South Australia and Victoria.
I don’t know which of the 30+ species this is, but it was growing in disturbed laterite soil at the bottom of a granite slope north of Bindoon. Some of them do quite well in gardens, in dry and partly shady areas.
Call me Beep Me if you wanna Reach me! - Thomas/ Katarina
Sitting before the shiny rectangle, arms crossed over her chest Katarina continued the staring contest she had been having with the phone for the last hour now. She had gotten the screen to turn on once! And now, nothing!
Her brick phone had never betrayed her like this. And it had saved her life. This phone probably couldn’t save a piece of lint.
No really the phone was lovely she was sure and Namjoon had been a dear to give it to her by deceptively sliding it in her bag, where it had stayed for weeks. Her father had lectured her about not having any communication outside of her computer and finally she had decided it was time to activate the phone before he threatened to come to the academy in person.
But the problem was she didn’t know the first thing about these new fangled fancy phones. With a deep sigh she let her head fall backwards eyes closing for a moment in frustration and when she opened them she saw a familiar and young face.
Thomas!
Waving him over she grabbed the phone handing it to him as soon as he had sat down. Grabbing her notebook she scribbled him a pleading message.
‘Are you good with these smart phones? I am not and I haven’t figured out how to get it to work, will you help me please?’

Manwe
[ MEME ; tolkien questions ]
Manwe: Would your muse ever give up on someone they care for?
Yes. If it was for the best for himself. However skewed such outcome would be according to the male. This would depend on the circumstances of course but generally he does this quite often actually. Call it a defence mechanism of sorts, the impatience as well when he doesn’t get what is desired out of the relationship– friendship, whatever it is he has grown to establish with a specific person. Generally he already prefers to put distance between himself and friends when realization settles in he was harbouring feelings of attachment, but most of the time that alone doesn’t push him into entirely cutting ties. Now, he’s less so inclined to do so knowing he’s stuck in the academy for quite some time yet.
One prime example of this would however be Jake, even if he had hoped for another outcome after declaring they wouldn’t be seeing anymore with the sort of hinted finality he couldn’t ever outright say, coward to the end, even when both agreed they could easily still phone or text each other, neither has initiated contact since. Partially reason for him not doing so either was the male had glimpsed at something within his friend he shouldn’t have, something which had scared him as opposed to comforted as it perhaps should have in another time or universe, but he’s always been the kind to favour words rather than action, especially when it was action left undone.
Years of spending time with the boy had clouded him of fact how toxic the relationship had morphed into as well– no, what it had always been. In the core he’s a giving person when it comes to those he allows close, and then it is too late for him to see when he is being used and taken advantage of, when he’s the one pulling them through but never the one actually steering. Perhaps he had turned blind eye to few too many things regarding the other, all but letting Jake to chain him down before he understood that was exactly what had happened, before he saw it wasn’t so much he felt obligated because he was the male’s friend– but Deni was the only friend he had and the aggressive desperation the younger held for making sure he stayed, for him, not for anything else, not for Deni himself.
But then, perhaps they both were cowards to the end, and he’s still not certain whether he would have preferred to hear any resistance when he walked out of the door last time, or keep the silence as answer to all the questions he wouldn’t have dared to voice still. It was bound to end sooner or later, somehow ridiculously anticlimactic, somehow bittersweet, but relieving all the same. But see the thing when you have known someone for so long.. you can’t simply forget them with a snap of fingers, can’t pretend you never felt anything for them. Yet he is prideful above all, and it is easier to occupy mind with new people, with work, with alcohol and distractions and it is almost possible to pretend Jake never existed at all. Pretend the ever painful what if doesn’t exist still.
...........
tl;dr
if he feels he’s being held back he’ll drop your ass in a heartbeat. no matter how much he adores you.
