Rewatching The Maze Runner and…ik a lot of people ship Thomas and Newt and that’s fine but if we talking women….man Brenda a real one. In The Scorch Trials, when The Right Arm is being attacked, she probably talked Jorge into going back (altho he probably felt the need to go back too bc Thomas saved Brenda); she covered him with her gun as he ran across the field and even managed to shoot Janson; In Death Cure, she and Jorge came for him when he was trying to get into the WICKED city; she prepared his weapons for the final battle; when Gally came to the bus without him, she was finna hop off the bus to go get him before Gally did; she refused to leave him as Thomas and gang were trying to get Newt outta the city; she made the crew wait in the burning city till they got to the aircraft; even tho Minho is the fastest, she—with fire, explosions, and gunshots flying all around her—ran thru the city to get the cure to Thomas and beat Minho, Gally, and Frypan there (tho still too late😭); she still wouldn’t leave the city until they found Thomas and was the first to see to his gunshot wound when they got him on the aircraft. Truly, there was no competition between her and Teresa and it was annoying to see Thomas continue to pine over her when Brenda was the one holding it down. She was a real one indeed
And on another note, there is not enough appreciation for movie Frypan. Ik book Frypan ends up going a different way (tho he was rockin thru it for a while too) but movie Frypan a real one too. We talk about the big 3 of Thomas, Newt, and Minho but it should actually be 4 with Frypan cause he was rockin thru it all the way. He a real one too and deserves more appreciation.
