In a totalitarian society where love is illegal, our characters have fallen head first into it with one another. Send “1984” for my character’s last thoughts and words to yours as the police break down the door to take them away for rehabilitation by torture.
The crashes against the door were getting louder and louder by the second, the reverberations shaking the very room around them. She had known this day would come, that they would eventually be found out in some way or another. They had been so careful. They never spoke outside the times when they were alone, they were never even seen together, and yet somehow the eyes had seen them, tongues had wagged against them. She looked up at him, fear striking her very heart and she could see the same in his. She couldn't bring herself to regret any moment they had spent together, she had fallen so hard for him and she finally understood what it was like to be in love.Tears fought to break free from azure hues and she pressed her lips to his, breaking only for a second to whisper to him, "No matter what happens, no matter what they do to me or how much they hurt me, I have loved you and you will always have my true heart." She had known people who had been rehabilitated, she had seen the empty looks in their eyes as they stared blankly around, as if it was not only their body that had been tortured but their very soul.Pressing her body against his, the illegal clothing they were wearing standing out against the grey room like sulphur in silk, she kissed him with all the passion she had in her body, all the love that she could muster while so terrified. And that was when their world collapsed around them.
