Hydra Attacks

New York had been quiet... too quiet.  And while the Avengers was busy dispatching lesser offenders; crooks and escaped convicts, Earth's mightiest heroes were rather unoccupied.

It was warm, and the sun shone high over Manhattan as pedestrians made there way across traffic congested cross-walks to and from work, living their mundane lives as per usual.  However, this rather peaceful urban setting was suddenly interrupted by the squeal of tires, followed by a series of screams, and the crunch of metal on metal as cars collided into each other.  Then silence.  That lasted only briefly, then the sound of marching filled the air.  This wasn't the sound of pedestrians but the sound of an approaching army in tight formation.  

"We do not wish to fight you," an accented voice called out as one of the more decorated soldiers broke from the ranks.  "However, we will have no problems killing you if you get in our way."  Hundreds of Hydra agents had crowded into the street carrying high powered weapons and wearing high tech armor.  They appeared to be coming from the Bay, but unknown to the observers on this particular street, there were Battalions in multiple areas of New York, all moving toward different areas of the city.

Close Encounters

Hey guys, I just realized, that you both answered after my post. So what do you think? Should we fix it, before I reply (because I don't know which one to pick ;))

Deep down Loki hates what happened to his relationship with Thor. He not only used to be his brother but also his best friend. However, this feeling is burried in that part of Loki's mind, the Trickster doesn't want to reach.

Instead he tells himself, that everything is Thor's fault and that he hates him, too afraid to face his own guilt and the love for Thor, which is still there.

Too bad, that the god of mischief is not only good at lying to others, but also to himself.
