Thor and Sif
“During his banishment, Sif saw Loki’s treachery and risked all to return Thor to Asgard..but on Earth, she saw that she had lost Thor’s heart to another - the human Jane Foster. Now at the end of a long campaign to free the Nine Realms from strife, Sif seeks to rekindle her relationship with Thor.”

Thor x Sif !
casual reminder that I'm still searching for a Thor or Sif anon for hot steamy shameless rpg
Everyone loved Sif when she had exactly 19 lines that consisted of "My Lord" and "Yes" and one joke, but when she might actually have some plot development, it's sexism.
Blank slate character syndrome! People loved Sif in the first Thor movie based on what they attributed to her. Lots of people thought of her as a feminist icon character, who needs no man, and they also feel betrayed -- not because she loves Thor, but that she loves anyone, because she's supposed to be too cool for romance. It's true someone, probably a dude, made the executive decision to have her be in love with Thor in the MCU. (Although of course it's been there for centuries of myth, decades of comics, and explicit in the actual first draft of the Thor movie itself, so it seems self-evident.) But "to be feminist she's not allowed to have feelings" is just as much a cliche as "all women need a man", and neither interests me. I love the middle ground of "Sif will kick patriarchy ass for telling her to get back in the kitchen, but she will also kick your ass for telling her that she's not ladylike enough, and maybe she wants a man who can see her as both a lady and a warrior".Maybe it will end up being sexist, and that would suck, but part of who she is that she loves Asgard, and she loves Thor. If you didn't sign up for that, well, sorry not sorry.
Adventures in making me hate my fandom
Me: I'm depressed because everyone in the MCU fandom seems to either hate Thor/Sif, thinks it will destroy Sif's character, or already hates Sif's character. I'm drowning in negativity. Doesn't anyone else like this pairing?
Anon 1: I hate Sif in the comics, but she's okay in the MCU. I have other ships for Thor that I like more though.
Anon 2: I also only like Sif in the MCU, but I'm concerned that Thor/Sif will destroy Sif's character.
Anon 3: I actually hate Thor/Sif in the MCU! Isn't that funny? Isn't that just what you wanted to hear??
Anon 4: I love Thor/Sif, but the MCU killed any chance of it being good right from the start.
*crickets chirp*
Anon 5: *weeks later* What are you, stupid? A shitload of people ship that pairing.
