Anyway, after Macc sketched out that Konjou doodle for me (which I loved, it was SO fun to color, thanks again, @macckenchiz) I really wanted to draw this idea I’ve had for a while, which is kid Konjou with Hanzoku. This also goes to Konjou’s BG story a little bit, namely about the fact his mother is, well.....terrible. Not necessarily out of malice in this case, but stubborn, self-centered arrogance where you think you know best, when you don’t. It’s a long story lol

Konjou is so fun to draw, his ability’s really flashy. 

Wanted to do like a fake manga panel again, as I have done something similar before with Ichirou in the past. It does feel weird tho, as I normally don’t work in grayscale, I much prefer vibrant colors lmao

Konjou’s also fun from his story perspective, ‘cause he’s kind of a wild card; he’s technically one of the villains, but he does sometimes cause trouble to the antagonists too, given his beef with his mother who’s one of the bosses. 

....well, calling it “beef” is putting it mildly

UPDATE: I didn’t like how I shaded his face in the left one & felt the shading was too colorful for what I intended, so I fixed it lol

Really wanted to draw Konjou as he’s my second fave after Jurou. Then Idea led to another and since it’s October, he’s trick-or-treating with his toddler niece (he needs no outfit, Konjou’s scary enough on his own lmao). Someone tried to steal her candy so Konjou’s teaching them a lesson lol

Considering this would be timed after his main story, Konjou would actually look somewhat different, so I made two versions. One with his default look, one without his purely yellow glowing eyes and patchy mismatched skin, as he loses both thanks to being purified from his more demonic/Death powers. OFC He’d ALSO have a different outfit, but didn’t feel like going that far for this lol

I had the idea for this image pretty much as soon as I made human Bikou/Konjou. 

Thorn-boy using his powers and showing off. Yes the vines are emitting out of the “cracks” on his body, alongside some shadow-mist. He can also make flowers appear in them, y’know, so at least when you die it looks pretty. 

.....this looks painful, and probably is.

Of course I have to doodle shit about this thorny boy since apparently he became my new favorite as soon as I made him. Needed references for the sleeping pose and the backside thingy, both are something I rarely draw after all.

He does close his eyes to sleep too, but whenever he does or not is kinda random.

Great now i think of thorn boy as sleeping beauty.

I don't recommend trying to smooch this one when he sleeps; you'll get a thorny surprise that might include internal bleeding. Unless he likes you. Then It's just external injuries lol

Lesson of the story; don't go smooching sleepy demon-like entities.

Pfffttt this is the quintessential tumblr experience from what I've seen lmao, y'all are so horny. Like I haven't even decided if I should give Konjou a LI yet, slow down there anon haha! Also need a light down there?
