The girl was cute, trying to stand up taller, and still not quite making it to his chin. He chose to tease her for it, to get a rise from her, figuratively and literally. Her comments never hurt him, though no ones truly did, her comebacks made him smile. He made a false gasp at her outburst, while smiling.
