1931 HC Lazy Bear Lane by Thorne Smith (best known for his Topper novels) illustrated by George Shanks. This is a rebound First Edition bearing a sticker reading "The Children's Book Club of America - Chicago". Text block has been cut and rebound by the publisher. Some rubbing to the boards and a few fingerprint smudges, as seen in photos. Hard to find in this shape and specialty binding. 📦$200 shipped in the US. Ok. I need some help from my fellow #booksellers #bookcollectors and #bibliophiles . I have relied thus far by just having a "good eye" for books, paper and other collectibles. However, I have quite a few books that I haven't listed because I can't seem to find enough information online. I have a few (including the one in the photos) that seem to be a variation on the usual binding. This book, is Lazy Bear Lane by #thornesmith it states that it is a first edition, and I can find a small handful listed online but with green boards. Apparently this book is scarce. This has red boards, with embellishments missing from the listings I've found. I'm looking for suggestions on resources whether online or print that will help me out.
