“He is your son.”Natasha had held her tongue long enough, but she could no longer. Thor hadbrought her to Asgard to do the whole meet the parents thing and all Odin thegreat goat could do was criticize everything he did and most of the timewithout saying a word, just by looks alone.
“This is none of youraffair Miss Romanoff.” Odin looked to her, arching a singular brow.
“Yes. It is. I lovehim. So it is my business. He is my business.” She affirmed and stood proudlynext to the man she loved. “Do you love him?”
There was hesitation.Odin appreciated the mortal woman’s boldness even as it grated him. “He is myson.”
“That isn’t what Iasked.” She challenged back, ignoring the feel of Thor’s large hand grippinghers, trying to pull her away. “Do. You. Love. Him?”
When no answer came,Natasha sighed and shook her head. “You are a fool.” She held that cruel smileshe could possess across her lips as she turned and wrapped her arms aroundThor, holding him close. “It’s okay. You have me. I will always love you.”Though she knew it wasn’t the same.
Slowly Natasha woke from the dream, blinking to clear hervision and stare at the sleeping form next to her. She reached out, finger tipsgently combing through his soft, blond almost white colored hair before shelaid back down and snuggled up against him, falling back asleep.
