Im sorry, but... I heard a clip of Sebastian after finding Painter... and... it was interesting.

God... The way he was "c'mon, c'mon" in those clips... had the same cadence of someone trying to fix something.

Hes an engineer. Hes the handyman.

He was trying to fix painter, wasnt he?

Please note that if there is a song in my character playlist that is WILDLY out of place for the character at hand, i've conjured up a very vivid and very specific animatic in my brain that I promise ties in really well and makes soooo much sense, but you'd have to see it through the lens of seven very specific scenes to understand . I have a million instances of this and I will be animating none 👌 of them

I think the “what did they do” voicelines that play when Sebastian finds painters corpse goes two ways.

Obviously, yknow. What did the player do, what have they done, why did they do this, yadayada…

…but also its clear he was trying to FIX painter when he found ‘em. He was probably trying to determine what EXACTLY we did to damage painters system. Find the problems, so he could fix it. Repair it. But… he couldn’t figure it out. He couldn't figure out what exactly we did to painter. What did we DO.

You just know painter helped make the little Sebastian sprite onto the scanner.... he probably made the little guy and mimicked sebastians voice (and had him say some things for it) to give to the scanner. That makes sense as to why he says "he" in regards to Seb instead of "I", and seems to be kinda sentient (if you shake it and throw it around 'n such). Thats the Painter Effect babbeeeeyyyy

Sebastians “Handyman” title via Urbanshade prooooobably has ALOT less to do with his actual skill at fixing things, and moreso a backhanded insult from the staff

I think that despite existing with "AI" in its name, Painter would outwardly despise AI generated bullshit. Unlike generative slop, He genuinely understands the creative process, and plus it actively works on pieces itself rather than stealing. So seeing something so... outwardly souless, without the creative process? That STEALS? Ohhhh he'd fucking haaaaaate it

Wheres the creativity. Wheres the fun. Wheres the love and soul. He may be a robot who creates art, but hes damn well not any sort of generated crap and you better keep that shit far, FAR away from it

Godddd, thinking about the fact Sebastians grief boiled over into anger. Yet.. despite that anger, he still hid it under layers of what almost seemed like theatrics... because hes still ACTING.... ACTING BECAUSE IF HE DROPS THE MASK NOW, THE ONES HES WORN FOR SO LONG, HE'LL BREAK.... ((AND THERE'LL BE NO ONE THERE TO HELP HIM WHEN HE DOES....))

I find it so incredibly hallarious that outside the confines of being stuck in a medium that doesn't allow swears, BOTH Sebastian and Painter curse like absolute sailors
