HE SERIOUSLY DOES!!!

On video and in pictures, he looks very child-like. The camera makes his face look very smooth and blemish free. It’s like a giant filter and I think that’s why we say that it doesn’t look like he’s aged at all over the years. Because cameras hide the true details of Phil.

In person, you truly see the 6′2″ 31 year old that he is. With eye crinkles, bags under the eyes, little freckles, and facial stubble. His voice is also a little deeper and quite a lot softer when he’s speaking in his normal voice. I hate to use the term but honestly he seems like a Dad. A legitimate adult. You don’t pick up on any child-like essence around him. He holds himself up high and I could honestly feel his confidence radiating off of him. It was beautiful. That man is truly a walking god.

Speaking of DnP selling tickets to their shows: Can we talk about how surreal it must be for two guys who started their careers on the floor in ugly bedrooms to walk out onto a stage and face a screaming audience of up to thousands of people? What goes through their minds when they think about this, I wonder? Are they accustomed to it now? Or do they still find themselves shocked by the sheer number of people there to see them? Do they think, omg how did we get here? Or, of course we're here.

i think it still floors them. like sure, i think there are parts of them that understand that so and so hundred thousand views is what they expect and they objectively understand they have this huge follower base but like. i think every goddamn show they stepped out on stage and had that moment of wow, we’re here, and all of these people are here because of us. 

and like, don’t @ me but they also definitely have a moment every show (at some point or other, i’m sure) where they glance over at each other and just have this silent communication of ‘we’re here, can you believe it?’ ‘no, i can’t, but i’m really fucking glad we get to do this together’

When did you start doing the art? Has your style changed since then? (of course chicken nuggets are healthy, they are one of the food groups after all)

aaa! I started doing art when I was a smol, but like i started trying when adventure time started airing (i had a tiny sketchbook where i tried drawing characters from memory) and at some point my style diverged from that into a weird round mess and I’ve just kinda tried refining it from there. I started the lineless art a little while ago in like senior year of high school and since then ive been messing with new brushes and stuff to change my style around!
