Look out for the kind people. The ones that are selfless and help to no end. Because although they radiate sunshine and make you feel good, those people are often the ones who feel like they’re dying. The ones who are fighting for their lives everyday. You may think that they’re okay because they’re so dedicated to making others feel good, but what you may not realise is that the kindest, most selfless people are usually that way because they’re suffering and they can’t imagine being the reason that anyone else possibly feels the same. We overcompensate, we put our entire beings into making others feel good, making ourselves so available for others that they need us and can’t live without us; because we’re unsure of our worth outside of helping others. But the thing is, when you’re so available for others, there’s a lot less time to be kind to yourself. And god knows, the kind ones need kindness in return. There’s a reason they’re so kind to others, and it usually means they’re not so kind to themselves.
