#beginnings I’ve been thinking a lot about the fact that as artists we can do whatever we want…..and instead of getting lost in all the choices I dig deep and do what I truly want to do… Beginnings are always the most wide open. Full of possibility and nothing before to dictate the direction. For these two I hosed down the paper completely saturating it. I’ve been thinking a lot about truth in art lately. Without truth the painting is just a picture. What is my own truth? The answer seems so complicated and yet so simple. What really matters???? For me I want to paint the light. I want to follow it’s every move. How it captures and contains. How it mesmerizes.
