bro i Love marsh.....he was instrumental in the skaa rebellion for so long that like. i cannot imagine what kinda loss of faith he must have gone through when kell and mare were captured considering he broke off from the revolution entirely......but he STILL takes on easily the most dangerous job kelsier can give him and he afjhjk does such a good job he’s rewarded by big spikes in his eyes...the tragedy of a notable skaa leader, brother of the survivor but inherently a better man, being twisted and used as ruin’s hand on scadrial! tragic! awful! but still indicative of his strength cause you KNOW kelsier wouldnt have been able to do what he did in HoA....keeping himself back to save control for when it Counts Most...im HUGE ;_; over the fact that not only could marsh do that, kelsier KNEW he’d be able to. kell literally was like we cant trust anything and anyone but he banked everything on his brother being a good man and thats.....thats so much

insane bde!!!! adolin’s literally getting the shit kicked out of him he’s NOT well but the SECOND kaladin shows up hes like ha ha whats good bridgeman hope ur having a good time tonight....not to get deep but there’s a very particular Quality to their interactions where adolin sometimes plays into what he knows kaladin thinks of him JUST to get a laugh out of him (i’m thinking about the post prison are you wearing cologne conversation). 

like we see the duel from his perspective so we know adolin is freaking out cause his baby brother is trying to help and adolin isn’t in a position to help and also he’s getting the aforementioned shit kicked out of him and he knows he just lost all their shards he’s really really not well but the second he sees kaladin....he doesn’t even know kal’s a radiant. he’s seen him do insane things but adolin doesn’t even flip out about how there’s no way a spear can do damage against shardplate he just trusts so completely that well, kaladin’s here, at least we’ll go out fighting and/or having a good time and a previously insanely hostile situation now feels like the right time for a Joke. welcome to the party.
