The Dead Sea Trilogy is being imported to Thousand Roads!

I'm very excited to announce that I will now be cross-posting my fics onto Thousand Roads Forums, a site dedicated entirely to writing and discussing Pokemon fanfics!

I have like one or two users to thank for introducing me to this website, and I've never really been on an old-school, forum style community before, but I'm really interested and excited to be learning. It seems like a really neat place, especially because it's a community JUST dedicated to fanfiction, and Pokemon fanfiction specifically.

They allow other fandoms' fics, too, and even original works! The focus of course, is still Pokemon, but I think it's really neat that it seems to be a central, encouraging place for writers! They host fandom events, have a discord server, etc etc etc, and while I'm still learning the ropes, I'm really excited to be more involved. Especially because I hate hate haatteee the direction the internet is going in and I long for the days of yore when I was 10 and knew of fandom forums but didn't know how to use them.

I'd really recommend you check them out and consider making an account, even if just to read and comment on other fics!

All of Devil and the Dead Sea will be slowly imported, as will Icarus, and then I plan on cross-posting with each progressive update! I may even import to FFN too, but we'll see.

I wanted to share this lovely starry flygon by @helloyellow17! This was made for someone else as a prize for the Thousand Roads Review Blitz, but it also reminded me really strongly of the flygon guardian and doors locked with constellation ciphers in Continental Divides Chapter 10. Had to save it to my mood board. ;)

welp. Definitely intended to answer that last ask privately, was very confused when it showed up getting notes. This is why we don't tumbl after midnight, folks.

In any case, I've fixed the problem with the PMD quiz; it was the comment system, as usual, causing problems. I also corrected a problem that was causing the CAPTCHA to malfunction.

The site very obviously needs a lot of TLC and updates at this point. Which is sad! I've been neglecting it for a long time. And I have no idea when I'd be able to make the time for it, honestly--I have way too much on my plate as it is. Nonetheless, bug reports are appreciated, and I'll do my best to keep things at least functional for as long as possible.

So, uh. My buddy @negrek started up a hybrid Discord/forum community for fanfic and especially Pokemon fanfic writers and readers called Thousand Roads, and it’s shaping up to be a pretty nice little place for people to hang out with a budding community. So I figured I’d help it grow.

What level does my NaNoMon evolve if the species doesn't evolve by levelling up? Is there a guide to this somewhere?

omg, I’m sorry, I have no idea when you sent this because apparently tumblr is now failing to notify me of some of my asks as well as likes/replies/etc. Anyway, if your NaNoMon is a species that doesn’t evolve by level-up, it will usually evolve at a random level between 30 and 50. There are a couple of exceptions, e.g. Steenee evolves at level 29 because that’s when it learns stomp and can first evolve to Tsareena. There is [a FAQ item](http://thousandroads.net/fanfic/nanowrimon/faq) addressing this question, but it doesn’t cover the exceptions at the moment.Also, a general PSA, I guess: tumblr has recently started throwing around half of my notifications on the floor for no apparent reason, so if you try to message me and get no reply, please try again; I probably literally didn’t see it.

So back when I was hanging out with some other fanfic writers this summer, we somehow got around to the topic of Ash betrayal fanfics and, specifically, where they had come from. We had some trouble with this, since you can't exactly search for them properly using FFN's tools, and were left to manually search back through the archives of popular Ash stories.

Some time after returning home, though, I realized I had a fully-searchable database of all the 'fics on FFN up until 2012 or so. I could totally figure this out! And so: this article. Which naturally features everyone's favorite Pokémon character, Ashura Satoshi Ketchum.
