Best I can tell, the only lists of SM/USUM SOS call rates are still the initial pastebins posted whenever ago, so here they are presented as a nice table with bonus translation of "call rates" into an actual percent chance of a new Pokémon showing up to continue a chain.

Hopefully the first of at least two pages exploring SOS battles and why they are, generally, an awful mechanic.

So back when I was hanging out with some other fanfic writers this summer, we somehow got around to the topic of Ash betrayal fanfics and, specifically, where they had come from. We had some trouble with this, since you can't exactly search for them properly using FFN's tools, and were left to manually search back through the archives of popular Ash stories.

Some time after returning home, though, I realized I had a fully-searchable database of all the 'fics on FFN up until 2012 or so. I could totally figure this out! And so: this article. Which naturally features everyone's favorite Pokémon character, Ashura Satoshi Ketchum.

Pokémon-themed word counters for NaNoWriMo.

A few years ago I realized that slapping an "N" on the end of "NaNowrimo" would turn it into "NaNowrimon" and immediately decided it would be fun to combine a NaNo word counter with a pokémon adoptable. Now that I have more programming experience, I made up some pokémon-themed word counters. They look like this:

NaNoWriMon update automatically just like the word counters from the official NaNo site, and as your word count goes up, NaNoWriMon will level up and evolve.

If you have a particularly productive writing day, some NaNoWriMon can even use the boost in your word count to mega evolve!
