Laguna Beach Brewing Thousand Steps IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. A nice West Coast IPA with the usual pine/citrus in the background plus a few interesting tropical and berry notes in the nose. The body is well-balanced and has a firm dry finish.

Laguna Beach Thousand Steps IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 2 of 4. There’s a grassy/pine profile that’s nice, but then a bit of a deeper sniff reveals something quite weird and funky that I can’t quite explain, and it’s not particularly pleasant. Possibly some weird ester from the yeast? The body is much cleaner, relatively bitter, and quite thin. It’s clear this is an IPA, but not a particularly great one.
