With the fresh taste of basil and the creamy Thousand Island Spread, these Turkey Basil Burgers are a tasty take on regular burgers. They're great for a summer barbecue or a quick dinner during the week.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey. 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 2 tbsp ketchup. 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce. 4 hamburger buns. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Onion slices. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped basil, breadcrumbs, and grated Parmesan cheese. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Heat a grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil it. Cook the turkey burgers for about 5-6 minutes per side or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the Thousand Island Spread. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, and Worcestershire sauce. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or two until they are lightly browned. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a turkey burger patty, a spoonful of Thousand Island Spread, tomato slices, and onion slices. Top with the other half of the bun and secure with a toothpick if needed. Serve the Turkey Basil Burgers with Thousand Island Spread immediately, and enjoy!
