I've been playing Flight Rising for some time now, and I though the Stormcatcher needed a slight redesign. Though I will admit the artwork for the gods is amazing.

[00:57:28] N: Hnn they just have Salsita Software credited for the programming of artifracture, whereas Shock Switch directly has Thrage credited for programming (and Xhaztol for something else) [00:58:02] N: Only mildly paying attention but ye Thrage isn't in the credits of the new game at all [01:01:24] quo: Interesting [01:01:34] quo: So they finally hired an outside source [01:02:02] quo: well that makes sense, I think [01:02:26] quo: back when the thrage thing first happened, people were saying "I know some programming, lots of people can do his job, fire him immediately" [01:02:32] quo: and, true, Thrage's job is...rather expendable [01:02:38] quo: but [01:03:03] quo: with larger coding projects, there's a certain point where the code becomes unreadable to anyone except the guy who wrote it [01:03:15] quo: only the guy who wrote it knows it in full, knows all the variables and what every line is supposed to do [01:03:28] quo: so it's easier to have that one guy finish it, than to have another team pick up after him [01:03:35] quo: so that's why Thrage finished shock switch [01:03:48] quo: after that, when starting a new project, they probably just outsourced it
in RE: to the FR incident with Thrage
If you want to play FR but want to minimize the amount of profit they may gain (since the staff aren’t removing Thrage entirely just moving him to back end programming) You can enable adblock and they won’t get money for those visits. And you can also not buy gems with real money anymore.
Flight Rising Staff Said: Gathering Edition
"Gathering Players will be able to gather items for their clan, and all items gathered will be deposited into the Hoard. Each used turn will contribute to a clan's experience in that type of gathering. For launch, players will be able to progress each type of gathering type to Level 20, with new items entering the yields at level 10. There will be six types of gathering:
Hunting - Produces Food Items (Meat)
Fishing - Produces Food Items (Seafood)
Insect Catching - Produces Food Items (Insects)
Foraging - Produces Food Items (Plants)
Digging - Produces Materials / Battle Stones
Scavenging - Produces Trinkets/Junk/Dragon Eggs
Players will be granted 10 Gathering turns a day (15 if they have kept their clan well fed for 3 consecutive days), and will have the option to repeat the last gathering attempt they executed. Gathering in specific elemental zones will affect what items are yielded. During holidays, a special type of currency will appear in the gathering yields for the element that is being celebrated that week." (Thrage 2/3/13)
