Talia and Thranduil faced off against Azog, Bolg, and Saruman in parts 1 and 2. Part 3 sees them face a more powerful adversary, in the shape of someone who is masterminding multi-million dollar deals in the arms trade. The Oropherion couple have their own troubles to contend with before they can even consider another case, but a mass execution doesn't wait for them to sort their own marriage strife. Add a boisterous Tasha complete with her cursing and swearing into the mix, and the law-enforcing couple have no choice but to put their heads together and fix what's wrong.
The Durinson brothers are still wrecking everything in sight, their uncle is still pulling his hair out, while Talia and Thranduil still can't keep their hands off each other...when they're not at war with one another.
