This Pride Month drawing from 2021 should be a decent enough way to introduce my two main fursonas, Thraten & Hyacinth... (info after the break)

Thraten - northern mockingbird [he/they] I've been using Thraten as a default stand-in for myself since 2010, though they remained a "generic grey bird" (whatever that means) until 2016. I don't really see them much as a character; they're essentially just me as a bird. They inherit all of my ambitions and creative interests, but also all of my insecurities. Identifying with Thraten has been rough the past few years, but I'm hoping some small design tweaks might help them better reflect the person I want to be going forward.

Hyacinth - Blanford's fox [they/them] Hyacinth was realized in 2018 out of a desire for a secondary character with a "soft friend" aesthetic, and was designed by OlympiaXylaige. Their vibe is all spring flowers, loose sweaters, and herbal teas, and everything that makes you cozy. I never intended them to be a fursona, but they've come to represent a personification of love & self-love that's helped me reconnect with long-neglected parts of myself. Hyacinth is a character I truly want to bring to life in as many ways as possible, in hopes of conveying to others the embodiment of kindness that I see in them. ("Sometimes Thraten lets me take over their accounts on April Fool's Day, heehee! 💖🌺")

it's been a long time since I've used Tumblr so I'm not exactly sure where to start, but I'm sure this is sufficient.

I'm a multimedia artist & creator just looking for a space to share the stuff I make as I make it, mixed in with dumb musings and other nonsense that's bound to happen.

I see nothing wrong with people being allies for lgbt stuff, but the fact that they need to advertise that they’re an ally…why???????????

nono the huge thing is that people are convinced that the “A” in LGBTQIA stands for “ally” when it’s supposed to mean “asexual” and this is just so fucking funny to me because of that

"jkunblade" was originally a password for one of my sister’s friend’s photobucket account (can’t remember his name). I liked the name so I stol- stuck with it. Nothing really special here.

Well, I'd like to think that I improved in art.

It's officially 2014! And that means a whole 364 days to spend procrastinating updating. I hope that each and every one of you finds yourself happy and improved!

My resolutions include:

Update more often. I don't have any huge parties to help out with for the rest of my break, so that should be easier.

Learn to use my tablet. As a side note, I want to see if I can get Photoshop; it will work nicer than Gimp. Also using a tablet on a laptop sucks.

Stop procrastinating so much like omg

Mature some. If something bugs me, let it goooooo~

Everyone is awesome. not sure how this is a resolution but it's a fact so yeah

Anyways, there are a couple people who I'd like to thank.

Thraten: From when I first found Applejack's Ask Blog, your skills were absolutely enticing. You make tidy, beautiful art that makes me smile. You were always at my streams, and were always supportive and friendly. Thank you so much for being loyal.

Eleanor: I sent you a message once about using Brother Bear in your Ayasha soundtrack, and everything after that is a blur. You have balanced between mature and silly, and are an inspiration to me and others. Your beautiful artwork and upbeat demeanor have made tumblr a great experience for me. Thank you so much for being kind.

Wiggles: You are constantly goofy, and make me laugh with everything you do. AKS was the first blog I ever followed, and I'm so glad I did. You're nice to everyone, and don't hide things from people. You diligently work hard to produce beautiful content on a regular basis, and I aspire to be as reliable a person as you. Thank you so much for being honest.

Black Sheep: For the short amount of time I've known you... you have been mysterious. Who is black sheep. I don't know. He's probably someone who is very funny and runs a blog. He probably makes everyone laugh and draws pretty-looking pictures that might be questionable at first but then you realize that they're great. Just great. Thank you so much for being funny.

I'm half asleep so I can't remember if anyone was particularly generous (although I'm sure there was someone), but I know that all my followers are the most magical people of all. You've made tumblr one of the best experiences I've had. Thank you so much to each and every one of you. If I can be half the people you are, I'd have succeeded at something.
