Did you ever imagine the potential for comedy if Night Swan did survive and agree to go to Ascendancy? Because I did it at a certain point and now I can't stop thinking about it.

First of all, Cygni would definitely be friends with Eli. Yes, it would be difficult for them to accept each other's political views, but, as often happens in ordinary life, they would learn to turn a blind eye to this and see in each other, first of all, enough good people. From what I understand, Cygni is older, and as an older comrade, he could help Eli to endure difficult moments or periods of loneliness more easily. He would also be someone with whom one could always discuss human things that both of them knew but Chiss didn't understand it.

And then Ronan would show up, yeah…

Ronan would DEFINITELY be someone on whom Nevill would hone all his sense of humor and ability to play a prank on anyone in any situation. He himself would definitely be angry and constantly swear at NightSwan, nagging at every opportunity, because how could a loyal imperial officer behave differently with a rebel, right? Oh, they would argue all the time, and I imagine Eli sitting in a corner while this is happening, and making a face like: "I'm not with them and I don't know them!".

I suddenly remembered my old theory that came up when I was watching Rebels. And now I want to share this with you. So… what if Thrawn wanted to send Hera Syndulla to the Chiss Ascendancy?

I know it sounds weird, but seriously. Thrawn already had experience in how to recruit a person for the Chiss who DEFINITELY did not want to go there and how to at least try to recruit a rebel (the story with Night Swan). The first point suggests that he can find a way even where it is quite difficult to do, and the second simply reminds that Thrawn does not make a difference in this sense. If a person, in his opinion, is suitable for cooperation with the Chiss, he does not care what role he occupies at the moment. The rebellion is its opponents, but not its enemies, and this is important to understand.

Now a little more specific about why I believe he wanted to recruit Hera. Firstly, we can see that he highly valued at least her flying skills, he spoke about it himself. And secondly: why did he even try to talk to her when she was captured by Arihnda Pryce? After all, pay attention, he did not try to split her, force it to give out any information. He just came, brought up the topic of her long-dead brother, and left without actually getting anything. And we know for a fact that Thrawn isn't the type to bully captives just because he's bored. He did not interrogate her, but this conversation should have given him something.

And I just think: is it not the point that he tried to study Hera in person, to see with his own eyes some of her reactions, to evaluate not by dossier or combat technique, but close-up? If you recall, he also did not immediately start a conversation with the Night Swan about a position in the Ascendancy, but at first he talked in general about the Empire, the Chisses and other abstract topics. In the old canon, by the way, there was also a pilot in the service of the Rebellion, which Thrawn sent to the Unknown Regions, only this happened later and under different circumstances.

Most likely, all this behavior of Thrawn is simply the result of a not very good understanding of the character by the authors. But if another, more logical and interesting conclusion can be drawn from this situation, then why not do it? What the scriptwriters didn’t come up with for us, we’ll come up with ourselves!:)))

Damn it, I came up with two opposing headcanons and I can't decide which one to stick with:

1. Ronan hates children and doesn’t know what to do with them, but for some reason they love him, they constantly hug to him, and he stands with them around him and like: “HELP”

2. Ronan constantly swears and quarrels with all the adults in sight, but with the children he instantly turns on the babysitter mode and turns into the Best Imperial Bro ever (Eli in shock)

Eli DEFINITELY wasn't ready for something like this…

I absolutely love my own headcanon about Ronan getting attached to a navigator girl, just like her to him. And since we don’t really know anything about Ronan’s appearance, but I imagine him plump - after all, he is an paperworker, not a soldier, it seems logical to me - I am ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED that this child climb to hug him and use him like as a pillow always whenever it possible. "Because you are soft!:P"))) Ronan would definitely be embarrassed and swear at her whole time, but they both knew that he actually liked that someone was paying attention to him, including through physical contact. This allows him to feel less lonely and not think so much about all his losses.

Headcanon: Brierly Ronan doesn't have a real family, but in Ascendancy one of the Chiss navigators becomes attached to him - and she becomes the neo-cificial Sweet Little Sister of the most grampy Imperial in the Galaxy. Just imagine how Ronan, who have pissed off the whole Ascendancy, would tell the little girl about the Empire, and she would pick on him, and he would be funny angry. Imagine that a girl runs up and hugs him every time she gets the chance, and he gets embarrassed and pretends to resent it. Imagine that she would be the only one to whom he could entrust his pain from the loss of the Death Star and all the close people who served there, and she would console him - and he would do everything to include in such hard and responsible work something good and fun in her life.

Bonus: this girl and Un'hee or another little girl who is just as strongly attached to Eli constantly argue over whose "brother" is the coolest. Whereas humans boast the achievements of their little sisters in the same way:з
