Mafuyu wasn't sure what she should think of her new home. It was a strange place, she was given a strange room and the temperature wasn't very nice, it was horrible in fact. Mafuyu liked the snow and the cold, that's why her coat was so thick and cosy, but now it was warm regardless and she was simply overheating. That's why she had wandered over to a shady spot she had found, just under a palm tree and near the beach, so she could rest for a little while and cool herself down.
The water looked pretty, she noted, and it was probably cold too, but she also knew not to go play in it without supervision. Rocma always told her not to back home. Even if it was cold and fun to swim in, apparently it was dangerous too-- something about killer whales. The only problem was that Mafuyu had no idea what the word "killer" implied, and as such she never understood the danger that came from an orca. Rocma made sure that her own personal pest never came more than a foot near the baby seal, but alas she wasn't being watched by the bear as of now.
So imagine her surprise when she saw the very face of the person her guardian told her to stay away from on one of his signature strolls no doubt. Blinking at him for a moment, Mafuyu knitted her brows together. She wondered why he was here and why he was still breathing smoke-- that smell always made her nose twitch and sneeze and as she sneezed and shut her eyes to let the small sound come out this time, she jumped a little when the orca was suddenly looking at her.
❝... Hello?❞
Was she allowed talk to him now that they were no longer on the iceberg? She wasn't too sure, so she remained sitting comfortably by her tree, not really wanting to burn up again by standing up. Maybe if she didn't say much, he'd go away. If not, she could always call Rocma.
