Benji: so i'm sorry and i'm not sure if i should list all the things i'm sorry for because last time when i tried to apologize for all the relationship stuff you didn't really like that so i'm just gonna say i'm really sorry for all the stuff i said then too because i was honestly such an asshole to you and i didn't have any reason to be cause you haven't done anything to deserve that i was just taking out all my feelings on everyone and that sucks

Benji: and you were right about all the music stuff too. i mean, my hands still totally fucked but that doesn't mean it's not worth trying even if it's gonna be harder for me

Benji: so all that being said i'm writing music again and i kinda wanna ask a favor from you if that's not totally out of line

Of course she would run into Alexa here. Really, the only mystery was how the two hadn’t run into each other sooner. Normally in a situation like this, Cleo would pretend she hadn’t even seen her ex-best friend, a fact that had even been commented on by gossip outlets when the two girls ended up at the same events and weren’t seen speaking. Unfortunately, in this particular situation, they had quite literally run into each other as Cleo exited the restaurant Alexa was attempting to enter. “Oh,” was all Cleo could really manage, as the smile that had previously been on her face as she spoke to one of the restaurant’s employees faded. “Sorry,” she mumbled, side stepping the girl to let her in the door, her tone indifferent as if the two didn’t even know each other.

Benji had decided to go on a little walk around the town, mostly for the sake of having some time to himself. He was glad to have the support of Gemini and Ophelia, but the dynamic definitely felt off without his sister there, and he just needed some time alone with his thoughts. He found himself just standing out by the lake chain smoking when he spotted the blonde also walking down by the water and in his direction. “Fuck,” he mumbled dropping his cigarette and stomping it out as the girl got closer and they made eye contact. “Hey,” he said to her as she got close enough to actually hear him, his voice coming out kind of scratchy and causing him to cough awkwardly. “Uh, hey.”
