The ‘love’ at the end of his sentence is really just a habit, he calls plenty of people that, and doesn’t even realize it can be taken in an odd way. The kid walking along just seemed... out of place. Bennie’s been around London many times - it’s his home city. He knows it top to bottom. He has his gut feelings about people, and this one is weird.

I mean, I wandered off when I was your age, too... it was always for trouble though. ” Mature adult here, definitely doesn’t still get into mischief.
