She rested her head on the wooden chamber pot that was attached to her room. She was certain it was something she had ate at dinner that had caused her stomach to betray her, Ansten had gone off before the sun had risen and she managed to hold off the retching till after he left. He was already stressed out enough with the impending war that was unspokenly heading Arendelle's way. The last thing he needed was to worry if she was Ill. However she had never had issues before. Even as a child she had a fairly strong stomach. she knew it wasn't nerves, she had trained for battle, even more so with her Husband to be. Despite his offer to let her just be a Lady of the Court, Zara much rather be by his side on the battlefield. She loved the feeling, the rush she got during a battle, even a staged one. However she was never going to go out like Ansten to prep early in the morning. One of her handmaids knocked on the bathroom door to check on her. She let her in and asked for her help to get up. It seemed her energy wasn't the same these days
“The Queen has heard of what ales you my Lady. She suggested to speak to the trolls” Zara blinked at the girl. The Queen hadn't said much to the girl in her time in Arendelle but she she didn't hold it against her. The Queen was ill, part of Zara Wondered if that's why War was coming. She knew there was more to it than that, but attacking a Kingdom in mourning would be truly Cruel. But also the smartest thing they could do.
She nodded when she felt a wave of nausea push through. “Okay, fetch me my blouse and my trousers please?” She asked her Handmaid with a soft smile. She shook her head when she offered to be chaperoned. “I will be fine, the path is clear and if I need to relieve my stomach I can do so in the woods.” she said as she buttoned the blouse and her trousers. They felt tighter, like the personally made garments didn't fit her right any more. She had been eating more while in Arendelle yes, but it seemed her and Ansten had been training more too…surely it was muscle mass. She slipped on her riding boots and threw on her cloak. Before heading to the stables for her Horse and to the trolls she went.
It hasn't been the first time she had gone, she had gone to make sure she is truly a match for Ansten. She hadn't doubted his feelings, or her own but Zara was constantly questioning her worth when it came to the Royal family. Even next to Anissa she felt clunky. The princess truly was the deffinition of beauty and grace. Somehow, she wanted to be Zaras friend. It was the same with Anstens Younger sister, Greta. Kind as she was, beautiful she was a force to be reckoned with. Zara loved them all the same, even the few she only met in passing.
The local love experts had deemed it a perfect match. That second love was stronger than any other match they had seen. It eased Zara a bit, and suddenly the Engagement ring hadn't felt as heavy. They greeted her as they always did, just hugs, smiles, and laughter. Grandpapy came bumbling towards Zara “Child, what ales you now?...”
The question was waited. What didn't ale her. She worried about Ansten, The family, the Kingdom. her home. She kneeled down and smiled softly “I woke up feeling I'll this morning Grand papy and I just want to make sure I'm okay. I don't normally had stomach disturbances.” He nodded and placed a hand on her shoulder. His eyes lit up with excitement. “Why Zara Dear, it's appear you are with child…2 weeks out it seems..” Zara couldn't help but smile. It wasn't a surprise, her and Ansten had snuck off most nights to sleep together. They were engaged after all. Then she felt her stomach, it wasn't sickness, it was nerves now.
“This must stay between us…” she said to the Trolls. “there is a darkness heading our way. And I intend to fight it, along side my husband…” Child or not, that's where she belonged. “He would never let me self foot on the battlefield if he knew” the Trolls nodded and grandpapy took her hand.
“they are strong, like you and their father. They have Viking Blood and the heart of an adventurer. This will be a walk in the park for you both. I picture a happy life, with Family….” Of course that could change. His predictions, despite their apprentice, were not set in stone. Zara. Nodded and made her way back to the palace. The only person she told was her Handmaid. She asked her to keep it between them. At least for now.
Zara changed back into her nightgown and curled back into bed. She was exhausted. She couldn't help but put a hand to her belly…it would be hard hiding this from Ansten, she was with child. His child, it was a dream come true...
But If anything was going to stress Ansten now, it would be a baby…

"Was is just me or did it seem like the animals have been a bit more rowdy today?" She was packing her things up for the day to head out "Or like camera shy or showing their backs to the guest? Good for them honestly I love when they're a little Cheeky"
