waiting through a sea of people that had formed a huge crowd in the frat house he shuffled through them trying to get himself another drink. he had to seem as if he was having a good time, when truthfully, the party after party was beginning to start to feel monotonous. but this was the image the boy had spent years perfecting. the laid back dude, with not a care in the world, and ever since his injury and he lost his ability to swim the same he had a harder time faking it. his shoulder, the doctor’s said would never be the same and despite trying to swim he couldn’t seem to come close to the records he had broke just a year earlier. going to grab and cup his hand crossed someone else’s and he pulled his hand back. “my bad..” he said turning and seeing a familiar face. there in front of him was his ex girlfriend. the one he dated all through high school, the only person he ever loved, and the one he completely broke their heart. after his injury he kind of spiraled and ended it abruptly. “what brings to a place like this?” he said trying his hardest to ignore the sudden increase in his heart beat.
