Send “What are you playing?” To catch my muse playing a video game.
Playing video games was a rarity for Yuuri, since he didn’t really time with practice at the ice rink taking up most of his daily schedule. But today was more of a laid back day for him, Viktor said not to worry too much since they put so much effort into practice that a day of rest on occasion wouldn’t be too bad.
Yuuri of course, found himself feeling bored. When he wasn’t skating, he realized he really needed to gain some more hobbies. That’s when he remembered the game system Phichit gave him back when they were roommates in Detroit.
So he decided to sit and play it. Picking the first game in sight, he inserted it and started playing.
Eyes staring wearily at the brightly lit television screen, he found himself getting lost into the game. Addicting, being that he could have sworn he sat there for a decent 20 minutes just playing the game. Yuuri barely noticed his twin draping over him, until his words registered into Yuuri’s mind and he glanced over to see his face.
‘’–Ah, Yuusei!’’ Yuuri exclaimed a bit startled, ‘’I think it’s an RPG…’’ he reached over to grab the case of the game he was currently playing, ‘’–Tales of… Zestiria?’’ he read off the case, then placed it back down. He gave a sheepish laugh, ‘’I was just feeling a little bored, so one thing led to another… and yeah.’’
Yuusei had been at practice till the late hours; he had even missed dinner. Minako had him working to the bone, as their was a recital coming up, that could bring new students, and attention, to her studio. It wasn’t that he wasn’t excited himself - he loved Minako like family - it was just, he was a rather lazy person. So the late practices that he’d been taking part in, was draining him, not physically, but more mentally. He panted as he placed a hand too his chest, looking up at his teacher.
It was half an hour before she let him go.
He sucked in the fresh air, the sweat on his body cooling his skin as he leisurely made his way home. He missed Yuuri, but he was far too tired to be in a rush. He even stopped at a park bench with a bento from the store, before he finally made it home. “Tadaima!” He called out as he toed off his shoes and slipped on the slippers. He kissed his mom on her cheek, letting her know he already ate, before he went in search of his brother.
He draped himself over the back of his brother when he finally found him, tilting his head when his twin gave a response to what he was doing. Yuusei knew much about games, though he mostly played Otome games himself. He watched for a few moments before a mischievous smirk slipped onto his face. “Oh really?” he asked and slowly reached a finger forward. “And what would happen if I hit this button?” He dtarted forward and pressed one of the button on the game.
Though he made sure not to hit the power button.
