Adam was sitting on a bench with Addison, happy to take a walk. He was trying not to think about how confused he was about clearly missing some kind of memories, but it was hard. He turns to Addison. "Why is this place so confusing?"

With her elbow, Clarissa knocked on the door of Addison’s place, trying to not spill either coffee in her hand. “Addie, It’s Riss!” She called out before she shifted the stuff in her arms. Holding both cups of steaming joe in one and a box of muffins in the other. She had stopped by the hospital earlier today, hoping to surprise her friend with her favorites - or as close to it as she could come to find in Crownsville- but the nurses had told her Addie had called out. There had been shock that flowed through her, followed by a heavy sense of worry because Addison Astoria never called out.
It hadn’t taken Clarissa two seconds to make up her mind after that. And it had taken only a few minutes till she found herself standing in front of her friend’s door, worry concealed for now as she waited for the door to be opened. “Addie?”

Clarissa wasn’t sure why had texted Addison to meet her at her place; why she had decided that inviting her into her home was in any way shape or form a good idea but she had. The mess of thoughts in her mind hadn’t left her alone as she tried to decide how she felt over everything that happened the last few days. If she was being honest, Clarissa just needed to talk to someone who knew her better than she knew herself and despite what had happened between them, Clarissa knew that person was still Addison. Addison would understand her turmoil and would be able to help her sort out what she should though. But, Clarissa knew that even thought she had invited the blonde over with the intention of living up to her promise to actually give her chance, the probability of her opening up to Addison were rather slim.
Still, she found herself slightly nervous as she inspected her simple and small but cozy home, fixing anything that was out of place. She fixed a picture of Teddy and herself on one of the tables near the living room and grabbed the coat he had left on the arm rest of their couch and hung it on the rack. The brunette had just pulled down two wine glasses from her cabinets when she heard a knock at door. Nervously wiping her hands on her jeans, Clarissa moved to open the door, offering Addison a small but genuine smile. “Hey, thanks for coming.” She said, stepping aside and opening the door wider to let her in.

Clarissa scanned mindlessly through some of the racks of the Macy’s store she found herself. She should have been looking for that beautiful jean jacket she had spotted for Gyda but instead her mind was wreaked with nerves as she waited for Addison to arrive.
She still didn’t understand why she had thought this would have been a good idea. They were barely on the verge of starting to fix their relationship and here she was, inviting the blonde to join her while Christmas shopping for people Addison didn’t know at all. Trying to distract herself, Clarissa typed out a few messages to Teddy and Gyda as she waited for her ex-best friend to come. Maybe, she thought hopefully, this would be a good step to trying to work through things.

Rissa: You're kidding me, right?
Rissa: I thought you wanted to "fix our friendship"? But you don't even have the nerve to let me know that Christian is in town? Did you guys plan this? Is this fun for you?
Rissa: I should have never expected anything less. You're unbelievable. I'm done, Addison. Done.
