Clarissa wasn’t sure why had texted Addison to meet her at her place; why she had decided that inviting her into her home was in any way shape or form a good idea but she had. The mess of thoughts in her mind hadn’t left her alone as she tried to decide how she felt over everything that happened the last few days. If she was being honest, Clarissa just needed to talk to someone who knew her better than she knew herself and despite what had happened between them, Clarissa knew that person was still Addison. Addison would understand her turmoil and would be able to help her sort out what she should though. But, Clarissa knew that even thought she had invited the blonde over with the intention of living up to her promise to actually give her chance, the probability of her opening up to Addison were rather slim.
Still, she found herself slightly nervous as she inspected her simple and small but cozy home, fixing anything that was out of place. She fixed a picture of Teddy and herself on one of the tables near the living room and grabbed the coat he had left on the arm rest of their couch and hung it on the rack. The brunette had just pulled down two wine glasses from her cabinets when she heard a knock at door. Nervously wiping her hands on her jeans, Clarissa moved to open the door, offering Addison a small but genuine smile. “Hey, thanks for coming.” She said, stepping aside and opening the door wider to let her in.
