Enchanted || Alessia & Demetri
Things lately had been rather odd for Alessia Rinaldi; her abusive Father had taken her out of her cellar and allowed her to be outside in the world. She knew the man was up to something, but what? That soon became answered when her Father brought her to Volterra -- bringing her to a group of people who dispose of those like Alessia. It wasn’t her fault that she had this gift and her mother’s death was an accident for she had no control over it. Some women do just die after bringing life into the world and of course, Vittorio Rinaldi blamed Alessia for his wife’s death -- for taking her away from their son who is Alessia’s elder brother, Pietro. Though Vittorio didn’t shun her away down into the family’s cellar until her gifts became revealed. Alessia had accidently froze the water in the bathtub when she claimed it was too hot; the poor girl was only six years old. From seeing this Mr. Rinaldi knew he had to lock her away for she was the Devil’s child and that is something he called Alessia till this very day. Soon Pietro followed in pursuit of calling her that and saw her nothing more than a rat to kick around. Despite keeping her mostly in the cellar Vittorio made sure she got her education by making her home schooled and soon after turned his daughter into a servant. He had no worries that she would escape for he had broken her spirit long ago. While he and Pietro would be away for work, she would be at home and clean; Alessia didn’t make herself known to her family until it was time for her to give them dinner. Though there has been times she couldn’t help but make herself known -- it was her emotions that got the best of her. Her gift from time to time would reveal itself and Vittorio would punish the ‘Devil’s Child.’
A few days ago Vittorio had enough of his daughter. She had walked outside to enjoy the sun while her father and brother were gone; or at least she thought they were. Pietro had arrived home early and seen his troubled sister outside where she wasn’t suppose to be. Acting like their father, Pietro marched out into the garden to grab her and was that a wrong mistake. As he jerked his sister -- or at least tried to jerk her back in Alessia rebelled and during that small flicker of rebellion lightning struck down. Not just anywhere though, but onto Pietro. From this action alone had caused Alessia to become an only child and this is what has driven Vittorio to finally be here before the Volturi and wished he had done it sooner. “I have heard of your specialty in ridding those who possess works of the Devil and I impore you, Lord Aro to take her -- take Alessia off my hands for she had killed my boy.” Hearing those words brought even a deeper sadness to her; she should have seen this coming. Blinking away the tears despite a few sliding down her face, Alessia forces herself to look over to her Father. She stood a few feet away from him with a rope around her hands. “Papa, amabo te. Ut non sit occidere eum. Erat accidente - promitto tibi non fiet.” Yes at times she had control over it, but most the time it appeared to have a handle on her. As she pleaded to her Father, Alessia quickly came to regret it as the man came forth to her so quickly she barely had time to register the slap across her cheek. The sound of it echoed in the room they were in before the three men that sat in the chairs -- a few by their sides like guards would be. Licking her bottom lip Alessia felt a familiar taste on them; a rustic salt like taste, it was blood.
‘I deserve this,’ Alessia thought, ‘but so does he for the Hell he has put me through.’ Flashbacks from her accidently killing Pietro came through her mind and brought an idea to her mind in ending her Father the same way she ended him. Like father, like son. Of course due to her thinking thunder boomed outside despite being several feet underground. It began to come a storm outside for the people of Volterra and many were confused for they were told it would be a sunny day. Out of the corner of her eye something caught it. Alessia looks down and became amazed to see the rope that was around her wrists had been fried off from the electricity in her hands. It became evident to everyone that this wasn’t the first time Vittorio had her hands bind from the scars and bruising on her wrist. Alessia then looks back to her Father as he looked at her in horror. Seeing his stares on her snapped the young Italian woman out of it and looks to the men before them. “...Just do it quickly is all I ask, please.” was all the Italian woman said. Alessia was tired and knew there was no life for her with a gift like her’s.
