@fvrksaga / " victor, you’re the one who left us for another woman. we didn’t make that choice, you did! so when i say there’s no chance of our family ever coming back together after what you did, there’s zero chance. “ the older woman’s raised voice was evident of the anger that was beginning to boil over. it took almost a year for her and their daughter to rebuild their lives, after her ex-husband took a sledgehammer to their entire family life they’d built. but it seemed just as things were going on the right track, eliana was happy with her new job, the close bond her and angela had built throughout the year and the now rekindling flame she was finding with her high school sweetheart, charlie. of course, leave it to her ex-husband to try to stumble back in their lives, when his mistress had finally kicked him to the curb. but ellie was never the woman to forgive and forget, especially when it was someone who betrayed her. and what made her blood boil even more was he could never seem to take any responsibility for what he did, this time being no different. a scoff escaping her, “ you still can’t even admit that you were wrong, v. until you do that, we have nothing else to talk about, so feel free to hop back into that stupidly ridiculous tesla you drove here in and head back to seattle, because we don’t need you here, angela nor myself. “ and just as she turned to walk back in her home, she felt a strong hand take hold of arm and pull her back. her chest now against his, immediately making her want to push away but she could smell a tinge of alcohol on his breath, “ you’ve been drinking victor, let me go! “ she yelled as she did her best to push him away.
“ now you listen to me ellie, i haven’t signed those divorce papers yet. so according to the law, you’re still my wife and that doesn’t change just because you came back to this backwoods, piece of trash town you love so much. “ the man tightened his grip on her, doing his best to keep her still even in his buzzed state - not even bothering to take notice of the fact his hand was sure to leave a mark on her arm. “ now, i’m coming back whether you like it or not because this is still my home too. or you think now just because you work as some baby nurse, that you suddenly have everything handled, you don’t. don’t go tricking yourself with the idea you can provide for yourself and angela, like i- “ and out of nowhere, ellie had been freed of her ex’s grip and immediately she ran back up onto the porch to get out of his reach. she took a moment to examine her arm, knowing full well she’d have a nice bruise to wake up to in the morning. but her eyes immediately shifted to the scene in front of her, charlie getting into it with her ex-husband.
‘I’d like to ask you for Bella’s hand in marriage, Chief Swan.’
Those words right there sent Charlie’s world crashing down. That one sentence, that one 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 kept running through his mind like a freight train. The Father could only remember the pain the Cullen boy brought to his youngest daughter. All those months just being a complete ghost after he abruptly left Forks. He wasn’t like Bella and simply 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗧 the whole ordeal, he is of course a Papa Bear and just like the mothers they too can be a fury. It all was a blur after the two announced their marriage to one another -- one minute Charlie was forcing himself to smile at the lovebirds and the next? He was sitting in his cruiser down the road at the red light and that’s when the Chief of Police let it all out. Charlie found himself punching the steering wheel as a enraged scream escaped his throat, the sound of his wrath echoed off the walls of the vehicle and caused the man to flinch from the sudden pain in his ear drum.
Taking a deep breath and wiping the tears from his eyes, Charlie looks up to see a bystander had witnessed his mental break down. "Just smile and wave, Swan, smile and wave.” he ordered himself and did exactly that. He already knew that the woman who watched him probably would say he is insane now, but did he care? Hell no. It wasn’t his biggest problem. Stepping gently onto the gas pedal, Charlie drove down the road as he continued to be deep in thought. “I bet you’re rolling in that grave of yours ole’ man.” he curses at the sky to his late father. Charlie Senior and the Chief never could see eye to eye very long, but he did wish it on the younger Charlie to reap what he sowed and it came back in the form of his two daughters. A low grumbles escapes his lips followed by a curse, “Fuck you.”
Not having a destination in his mind of where he was going Charlie soon enough figured out where he sent himself too -- Ellie’s house. A woman he once had feelings for prior to his failed marriage, the very same woman who stirred up those feelings he once lost back to the surface. With Renee not around nor wanting to deal with how she can be, Charlie looked to Ellie for help when both his daughters came to live with him and my God did she help the Chief out 𝘼 𝙇𝙊𝙏. Hopefully Ellie can help him clear his mind, remind him that Bella is with a good man despite what he has done in the past. No man is perfect, right? Parking his car and getting out of it, Charlie made his way up to the steps of the home -- careful not to fall on the slippery stairs. ‘I’ve gotta get that fixed.’ the thought crossed his mind and before he could knock on the door is when he heard a familiar voice. The rage he held for the Cullen boy quickly vanished into nothing compared to the anger he had for Victor.
With no warning Charlie opened the door and barged into the house. It didn’t take him long to find out where he was, all he had to do was follow the scream match between the estranged couple. Grabbing Ellie by the shoulder and getting between the two, Charlie was standing eye to eye with Victor. “You need to leave now and if you don’t I will have your sorry ass arrested and thrown into gen pop over in Seattle.” His words dark to the man. The drunken husband laughed at the Chief and said he was bluffing before going into a fit of laughter. Placing his hands on his hips Charlie found himself laughing with the guy but that rage dwelling inside him? The 𝙉𝙀𝙀𝘿 to punch something took over in him as if someone flipped a switch and his hand found itself colliding against Victor’s cheek.
