Location: exhibition patio @astoriastarter
Topher had no idea how to behave at an art gallery. They usually never drank anything, no alcohol, very little caffeine, certainly not too many sugary drinks. But now glasses of pink and orange stuff were presented to them and they had eagerly accepted the free drinks, followed by stuffing their mouth with the free food. Afraid someone would call to light that Topher looked more like a homeless person than a guest, they had stuffed the deep pockets of their jacket as well and ran off to the patio, sitting down near the edge on a chair.
They were certain that the drinks had contained alcohol, because they felt a little dizzy. They were staring at their feet and taking out one little piece of toast at the time, pushing it into their mouth as they took a moment to savour the taste. They weren’t even sure they were eating vegetarian anymore, they just... ate. A cheeseball that was still slightly warm appeared from their pocket, but in their now slightly shaking hands it eluded their mouth and fell on their lap, bouncing off to hit the floor. The looked up with wide eyes at whomever happened to be standing near the cheeseball. “I was going to give that back,” they said, which was a sentence they hadn’t even thought about, it just came out of nowhere.
