@dxsole for harrison!
Chet didn’t know where to stand, let alone what to do next. It felt like no matter where he came to a stop, he was inconveniencing the busy people around them.
Being in a commercial was pretty nerve wracking, but a friend of a friend had told him to audition since the client was looking for veterans to portray a veteran in a few of the commercial’s shots, and…well, he was.
One person on the casting team had murmured that he must be lying— you’re awfully pretty to have served…— and Chet didn’t even know what that meant. He’d shaved before going in to read lines, but by now the scruff had grown back.
Wandering like a jellyfish on the tide, Chet caught sight of a tall, gray-haired man reading through a stapled packet of pages. Ah, another actor!
“Excuse me,” he croaked, even now feeling like he was imposing or unwanted, “er, did they tell you where we should be waiting?”
