That cannot be happing. It's like an accident. You cannot look away even though you would like to. There is something bizarre about a pickpocket watching another pickpocket at work. But seeing him pull off such a bad performance, offends Yohan's pride as a pickpocket. As if the scene is happening in slow motion, he has to watch how the pickpocket fishes his loot out of the woman's bag after a fashion. Just looking hurts.
That beats everything for stupidity. Usually he would not throw a wrench in the works of another pickpocket. There is honor among thieves. but this one clearly deserved to be given something to think about. Fun fact: A pickpocket does not expect to be pick pocket by another pickpocket. Especially not right after the crime. That dumbass also turns around to see if the woman has noticed anything and just at that moment, the woman's wallet finds its way into Yohan's pocket as if by magic.
Yohan could not help but grin as he looked at the satisfied face of the other one walking by. He would love to see the idiot's face, when he realizes that the wallet is gone, but he has to hurry after the woman. When he comes abreast with her, he pulls out the wallet at her eye level. "Guess that is yours. That dumbass..." With a small head movement he points at the unlucky pickpocket, who walks in the opposite direction. "... mistook it for its own."
