despite already feeling as if he knows a decent amount of people at mokseong, seeing unfamiliar faces around campus is definitely more common than seeing familiar ones. and familiar faces caleb hadn’t seen in years are definitely the least common.
but, not too far away, that’s the sort of face he spots. this is definitely someone he has seen before, and it isn’t just anyone! if his eyes aren’t deceiving him, he’s sure it’s malia moon! nate’s little sister! he grins to himself and starts walking a little faster. how long hadn’t it been since he’d seen her!
“malia!” it’s with a bounce in his step that caleb approaches her. really, it’s an unexpected encounter, he thinks. some years have definitely passed since he was in chicago last, visiting nate, and he hadn’t visited their family since they moved to south korea, years before caleb moved here. him and malia had years to catch up on! just how fun wasn’t that! “i had no idea you're also attending mokseong! although, when i think about, i guess it makes sense. anyway, it’s really good to see you!”
