Knightley was fiddling with his watch, he was headed to the nursing home to meet up with Mo. He'd promised to get back to their stitching lessons, it wasn't like either of them could do much with how little power was in town. Glancing up from his watch when he felt a gaze on him, he spotted a familiar face. Bringing his hand up to give a small wave, "Morning, didn't realize they required you to be up so early as an officer." Part of him wondered if she was more of an early riser compared to Zarina, after seeing them together he was surprised more people hadn't realized the connection.

Julia had yet to hand over custody of Jade’s apartment and though she wouldn’t be able to hold on to it much longer, she would try her best. In one of her weekly cleanings, after not being in Jade’s place for a few days, it shocked her to hear the jingle of the front door being opened. Blinking, and slightly frightened, Julia walked towards the front door and stopped at the sight of a man. She swallowed her immediate reaction and took a breath, eyes taking him in. He was older - gone young boyish features but there was no mistaking it. Julia had not laid eyes on Morgan Parker in years. Most of her life, honestly. Julia had been so young the last time she saw him that she was doubtful it could even be him. Would her memory of him even do him justice? “Morgan?” It wouldn’t surprise her if it wasn’t him but who else would have access to Jade’s place?

Morgan’s first year at MIT was great, almost normal really. She was there with people her own age even if she was in the master’s program while most of the people in her dorm were still working on their undergrads.  Sure she missed home but she got to go home often enough. It was all working out, at least until it wasn’t. 

Okay so maybe it wasn’t the end of the world that her dad was now teaching at her school. It was just embarrassing. Sure everyone already murmured her last name around the school but now it was full out gossip. 

“ So you just decided that you wanted to teach ? And it had to be here?” she asked with exasperation before gesturing around to the nice office they had given him.“ Out of all the universities in the world you had to pick the one I was at?” 

They had always been close and she loved her parents but college was a chance to grow and be on her own for once.

“ Have you ever wanted to move back to the city ?” she asked curiously as she glanced back at her father. The cabin by the lake had always been Morgan’s home but sometimes she wondered if her dad longed to go back to some of the other places he had previously called home.  

The city always felt so busy when they visited it. It was bustling with life in a way that was different from the nature the surrounding them at home. She would understand if he did miss it.

Morgan wouldn’t call this a business meeting considering the fact that they were sitting in a coffee shop, only brainstroming, and she was talking with her brother. It was too casual to call it that, even if the topic was Stark Industries and their work. “ I think we should continue to push on renewable energy and environmental solutions,” she offered before taking a sip of her coffee. “ I know we’ve gotten off to a great start with arc reactor energy but I really want to do more.” It was something she was passionate about after all. It’s what she had focused on at school.

“ And I wanted to know if I brought it up with mom and dad and maybe even the board if you’d back me up on it?” she asked her older brother hopefully. Of course it would be nice to have his support on it.

Her eyebrows scrunched together in frustration. So what if she was a child? It was her garage after all, well mostly it was her mom and dad’s but that made part of it hers too. “ My daddy used to let me in there all the time tia Annie. He said as long as I’m being supervised it’s okay.” She even had her own little workbench in the garage and some toys down there. Plus everything in her workspace was stuff her parents had gotten her to do so why her auntie was saying they couldn’t go in there was beyond her. “ Auntie Gwen and Peter let me work in there. You can even ask them or you can ask my mommy. They’ll tell you.”

Knightley sighed as he walked into the bar, he didn't drink much but this is where he had the highest chance of running into Zarina's mother. He'd been to the bar when Xander gave him the initial tour, as well as some ration cards. Up till now he hadn't had much use for them, mostly sticking to the Commune. Spotting Morgan, he slid into the stool next to her, though he kept his eyes on the front of the bar, before glancing at her. "This might be a stupid question, but are the drinks here worth the ration cards? I've only really bought coffee with them, it's that's already hit or miss if I'm honest."
