“You know they say a dog can solve all the problems in your life.” James commented, sat on the sidewalk and playing with the puppy that had crawled into his lap. “That and with you being alone, you could do with a companion. I mean it’s not like I can just bring this little guy home and betray Kovu like that. Also I’m pretty sure Marcus will realize pretty quickly if there was a second dog in the house. So you should adopt him- well, if he or she really is a stray.”

"Why do you look like you're seconds away from trying to make your great escape?" Scorpius couldn't help but ask the other, an eyebrow raised as he stood with his arms folded across his chest. "Just because Andie isn't here, doesn't mean you can go off into the world and do whatever the fuck you'd like. You're injured. You need to rest and heal and just-... not be a stubborn arse for like five minutes."

Scorpius commented, looking down to the skin on his hand which was now painted green along with most of his body. "I mean, how else have you gotten me to agree to costumes twice in one year. Especially costumes that are from subtle."

SCORPIUS: Seems like anytime I spend time with you, I always end up leaving with some sort of injury or physical blemish to the skin. SCORPIUS: Apparently your cat decided it wanted to leave it's mark on me.

“You know, I’m starting to think that telling you I was coming to this thing was an awful idea.” Scorpius commented, yes he may have tried to ask the other subtly to come with him. Yes, it might have not been that subtle. And yes he did allow to pick out his outfit with a lot of complaining but also a lot of compliance. But when all of that was in the comfort of his flat it had been okay, now that he was out among people, covered in bright colours and so many flowers he was starting to feel like he stood out too much. Though it was worth it to see the other smile. Even if he did have to stop thinking that way because that wasn’t what they were, a couple or the type to hold feelings for one another. “I look like I’ve been dragged through the greenhouses before coming here.”
