"Alba, you can whine all you want, you're walking up these damn steps." Looking down at her dog, Cali rolled her eyes as the pup stepped onto the first stair outside of her sister's apartment before sitting down and looking up at her owner. "Why am I being punished with the dog embodiment of myself?" Sighing, Cali told the dog to stay before she climbed the rest of the stairs alone, having dropped the lead next to Alba. "I hate that I am reinforcing your appalling habits, you annoyingly intelligent dog!" Standing at the top of the stairs, Cali pulled a treat from her pocket, waving it to the dog who swiftly bounded up the rest of the way. "Now you can wait until we're inside Tia Mari's."
Opening the door with the spare key, dog treat still in hand, Cali ignored the whining for as along as she could, well, until the door was open. "There you go." Feeding the treat to her dog, she unclipped her leash before Alba could take off in search of Mari. "Go, abandon me, whatever."
As she finally looked up, Cali's brows shot up at the sight before her. It wasn't unusual at all for Cali to walk in and see someone eating cereal without pants on, but it was unusual for that person to not be her sister. "Okay.. this is, totally normal. Are you breaking in? Because she has better shit than old cereal, you know?" Wait.. Did she really have the worst guard dog in the world. "Alba! Get back here and protect me from the cereal thief, please!"
