Anais had managed to avoid the permeating temptation of Le Ciel et L'Enfer. If what she had heard was true, there was no vice that could not be satisfied beyond those dark doors, and many, lost to the will of their desires, spent all they had on the riches within. Heaven or Hell, it was the sinner’s choice for once, and many jumped at the opportunity to choose. Anais had avoided it for good reason, and now, as she stood outside the doors, she felt her heart beat wildly in anticipation, for even she could not deny the curiosity that had always burned with a low flame. Unsavory as it was, she had certain business to attend to, and with a final breath, the woman nodded at the doorman who ushered inside L’Enfer.
She was no stranger to beauty, no stranger to beautiful architecture, no stranger to luxury, but Anais was a stranger to they way in which the nightclub manipulated them. The space was dark, too dark to truly see, but it became quickly apparent that touch was the superior sense here. Still the women who prowled the stage, were beautiful in a most carnal way, and the luxury-- the drinks, the haze of smoke, the leather couches... it all pulled one in, and threatened to never release. She wanted to equally flee for the stairs, and stay rooted in the spot. A few faces turned towards her, curious about the woman in white silk gloves, and a mink scarf, but she hardly noticed. Her attention had been grasped, and now solely remained on a woman who’s body moved in a way quite unlike Anais had every seen. The woman moved with an energy that roped the opera singer in, that demanded her gaze, and blue eyes obliged, roaming the expanse of exposed skin.
If this was Hell, then the devil was a woman, and she was stealing souls.
