Rhys patiently listened, mind racing as he pondered how to help without knowing the cause of Sigurd’s slump. He supposed that even when something like grief or loss was out in the open, such things still were not able to be healed, with a staff or bandage.
It wasn’t about Sigurd’s situation, but Sigurd himself, he decided.
“Exercise is a great stress reliever,” he agreed. “I like to go on walks, health permitting, but sometimes I get too ill for even that.” Rhys thought again for a moment. “But everyone has times where they can’t stick to a schedule. It would be like expecting a ship to stay forever level when out at sea. Even if you can’t do what you normally do right now, you will someday again.”
That was well and good, but it didn’t change that Sigurd was thrown off his usual routine and self. Rhys idly patted his lap. “Hmmm, you could try something brand new, just for now. Something inspiring, but laid back that interests you. I mean, it’s better than doing nothing, right?”
