Winter Winds;; for rxbb
Tywin Lannister was dead. Tyrion Lannister had disappeared.
Joffrey was to marry a Tyrell--it was all too much for her.
Some nights she left the comfort of her room and wandered in the Godswood. In place of soldiers, Grey Wind would keep watch when she left the confines of her 'home'. Even the hearttree was enough to provide some comfort, yet when she stripped her shoes off so that she could sink them into the hot springs, she felt as if she'd be encased in ice.
❝ Vicious as you can be, you're the only company I have. ❞ She'd seen what a wolf could do to its pray--surely Robb's had maimed its fair share of soldiers and thieves.
❝ What use is being alive? T'is not as if I was able to change anything. The Seven seem to wish for me to be broken. I never wanted to play a role in this fool's game, yet now what choice do I have? My own son murdered him, Grey Wind--my son.❞ Joanna didn't even bother to look away from the direwolf when she began to cry. Her body leaned against the trunk of a tree as she stared up at sky. ❝ There is no joy in life, is there? Only pain and suffering--everything else is a lie. ❞
